Nicki Bluhm
Nicki Bluhm
After nearly a decade spent with the Gramblers, and recent high-profile collaborations (Phil Lesh, Infamous StringDusters, Ryan Adams), and a split from her husband and musical mentor, vocalist and songwriter Nicki Bluhm is stepping out on her own with her new album, TO RISE YOU GOTTA FALL. The songs were written over a two-year period in Bluhm’s life and chronicle her fundamental life changes, which found the West Coast native living in Nashville, TN. “These songs are the conversations I never got to have, the words I never had the chance to say, and the catharsis I wouldn’t have survived without,” she says. Recorded in Memphis, TN at legendary Sam Phillips Recording, Bluhm brought in producer Matt Ross-Spang (Margo Price, Jason Isbell), for these live band, analog sessions. The studio band includes Will Sexton (guitar), Ross-Spang (guitars), Ken Coomer (drums and percussion), Al Gamble (Hammond B3), Rick Steff (piano), Dave Smith (bass), with Sam Shoup (string arrangements) and various special guests. TO RISE YOU GOTTA FALL tells the story of a woman searching for light among darkness and reveals her emergence as a powerful songwriter and vocalist of great depth and immediacy.
B-Side Players
B-Side Players
The B-Side Players are a 9-piece band part of a new movement in popular music. A band that honors the international cross-pollination that has always made music the universal language. They use any beat that catches their ear,
regardless of geography or genre, to create a compelling, horndriven, polyrhythmic groove.
They continue exploring the multifaceted grooves of Latin America and the Caribbean, incorporating the sounds of
Cuba, Jamaica, Mexico and Brazil with the funk, rock, jazz and hip-hop rhythms of their homeland, dropping bits of
Cumbia, Salsa, gritty street Samba, Son Montuno, Jarocho and Boogalo into the mix.

The B*Side Players have been laying down their own inimitable latin global funk since they came together in 1994.
Their incendiary live shows have defined them as local favorites with 10 San Diego Music awards. Meanwhile their
albums showcase a band with restless musical intelligence, effortlessly blending genres to fashion their own forward
looking, latin flavored soul music. As an eight piece band the players are known for igniting crowds with their fierce
rhythms and uplifting message of unity and consciousness. Meanwhile always keeping their focus on the political
climate of the world and nation. The B-Side Players are a living and breathing cultural art experience for the mind
body and soul.
Diego's Umbrella
Diego's Umbrella
San Francisco's ambassadors of gypsy rock, Diego's Umbrella captures California's cultural multiplicity with enthusiasm, humor and decadence. These urban, gringo mariachis have performed more than 1,000 live shows across the U.S. and Europe. The band's lively, unforgettable, heavy-hitting stage show has visually and aurally captivated diverse audiences from all walks of life. Influenced heavily by flamenco, klezmer, Eastern European and Latin sounds Diego's Umbrella has introduced the world to a new kind of popular music: Gypsy Rock. They possess a pop sensibility and punk rock energy with sounds reminiscent to that of Gogol Bordello, Devotchka and Muse.

While the origins of Diego's Umbrella date back to the 2001, with the collaboration of founding members Vaughn Lindstrom (acoustic guitar, vocals) and Tyson Maulhardt (electric guitar), they officially hit the scene in 2005 with the release of their first full-length album Kung Fu Palace. Violinist Jason Kleinberg and bassist Kevin Blair came on board early in the project, and the 6-some was rounded out by Ben Leon (vocals, guitar) and Jake Wood (drums) in early 2009. The Group has released 3 albums including Viva la Juerga '07, Double Panther '09, and a host of independent recordings. They have been featured in major motion pictures, Network Television, and numerous documentaries, in addition to countless worldwide radio and print. Currently, they are in the studio working on a new EP to be released later this summer. Viva la Juerga!!!

ABOUT STIG
"Adding their own flavor to the funk revival scene, STIG keeps it smooth and sexy, interesting without ever overstaying their welcome."
- The Deli Magazine

STIG is an all-instrumental, progressive jazz/funk band from Boston, MA.

Consisting of 5 close friends, STIG aims to bring people together with their music. The tight communication and positive energy shared between everyone in the group brews a raw and exciting experience at every show. STIG came together during their time at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. They spent most of their first year together playing sweaty, overflowing basement shows in Allston, the student filled neighborhood in Boston. STIG’s music is all original and is always written as a group to draw from everyone’s genre-crossing influences.

STIG was invited to play the main stage at the NAMM Music Convention in Anaheim, CA in January of 2016 and from that point forward they’ve solidified their lineup and have been touring all over the Northeast. They released their first live album, “FLEX”, in September of 2016 and their EP, "Downtown Tom" was released in July of 2017. The band recently completed a successful tour of the Southwest and West Coast and is continuing to fill their calendar with national tour plans. Be on the lookout for new videos and tour dates from STIG!!

“We want our listeners to enjoy our music just as much as we enjoy playing it. To play music that makes you smile and move with us is our goal. We all find inspiration in many different genres and enjoy making groovy music with the different ideas we hear on a daily basis.”
Keith Okie & Rebel Sol
Keith Okie & Rebel Sol
Keith Okie & Rebel Sol bill themselves as “Soul Reggae Rockers,” a title that perfectly describes this emerging force on the southwestern music scene. Irresistible dance grooves blend with heart-based lyrics in an outrageously energetic live show that is packing dance floors and venues from Colorado to Mexico. Their catchy melodic catalog of original tunes (penned by lead singer/guitarist Okie) has audiences singing along with their hook-and-harmony based “songs of life, love, fear, and hope” from the very first hearing – and for days afterward.

A California native, Keith Okie spent years touring the Pacific Northwest with the funk- and jam-based “Dukes of Ted” before settling first in Boulder, then in Arizona. Here, he returned to his musical roots, blending influences from Bob Marley and Clinton Fearon to Otis Redding and Sam & Dave. His music has been licensed by major Hollywood studios for use in television and film. Keith credits his eclectic spirituality and love for his wife and baby son with inspiring the best of his songs.

His band, Rebel Sol, has a rock-solid core that features complex rhythms (drummer Ben Keller plays brilliantly off conga/percussionist Tory Campbell), bass that can both pound and soar (bassist Jason Teague) and blazing keyboard work that checks all the boxes for the genre (piano/organist Phil Gornick). Frequent guests sit in with the band adding brass and African drums along with exceptional vocal harmonies. Their live shows have extra added anticipation as their rabid and growing fan base wonders, “Who else is going to show up tonight?”

One can’t help but think that it’s only a matter of time until this infectious outfit is performing in national festivals and sold-out theaters (they are already booked to open this year’s inaugural Rosarito Reggae Festival in Baja California). Catch them up-close and personal while you still can, so you can someday be among those who can say, “I heard them first.”

Circus Bacchus is a collective of performers based out of Flagstaff, Arizona started in August 2007 by a group of friends. We believe that circus present a unique medium for the art we want to convey. We are in the business of creating worlds in which the strange, the unusual, and the amazing are paraded right before your very eyes. However, we never want our our art to be merely viewed from the edge of your seat. With every performance, we invite you to not simply become a spectator in our world, but an active participant.

Circus Bacchus is proud to feature members such as Flagstaff's Strongest Man, the only bearded fire eater in the Southwestern United States, as well as Northern Arizona's finest poi spinners, jugglers and dancers.

In our short time as a circus, we have performed for Northern Arizona University, the Coconino Center for the Arts, the Technomania Circus (San Diego, California), the Coconino County Fair, and The Flagstaff Orpheum. We love and embrace what we do, and have a great time doing it. For upcoming shows, keep an eye on the home page; we'd love for you to come and have fun with us.
